Catherine M. Kulavich, 85, of Waymart, died Friday at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.|
She was married for 59 years to John Kulavich Sr., who died in 2009.
Born in Dunmore on September 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James and Christina Bonadio Colacino.
A licensed practical nurse, she was a very faithful, dedicated, and active member of St. Mary's Church in Waymart and thoroughly enjoyed what she did. Catherine was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was considered a loyal friend to many and was always a warm and comforting person who welcomed everyone into her home.
She is survived by two sons, Fr. John Kulavich, Dallas, and James Kulavich, Waymart; two daughters, Marge McGinnis and husband Scott, Mercer, and Cathy Beccaloni and dear friend, Marty Dunay, Clarks Summit; A brother, James Colacino, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Josh and Marisa McGinnis and Ricky Beccaloni; nieces, nephew, cousins, and two sister-in-laws.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Cole.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 from the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, with mass at 11 in St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. John Kulavich.
Interment, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, East Jermyn.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7pm.
