Ralph Skinner, 92, of Honesdale, PA, died Saturday evening, December 1, 2012 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Frances Day.|
Born August 17, 1920 in Torrey, he was the son of the late Nelson and Josephine Gregory Skinner.
Ralph was an industrious man who was well known for the used furniture and antique business which he operated with his wife.
He enjoyed refinishing furniture and building woodcrafts. In former years he was a farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Honesdale. Ralph will be dearly missed.
He is also survived by four children: Carolyn Enslin of Oley, PA, Muriel Temple and her husband Donald of Archbald, Robert Skinner and his wife Marge of Beach Lake, and Judy Gibbons of Lakeville; a daughter-in-law: Dawn Skinner; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Lyle Skinner; one grandchild; and three brothers: Clarence, Leon, and Raymond Skinner.
Funeral Services and Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, December 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will be Wednesday in St. Mary's Cemetery, Honesdale.
