Robert (Bob) Anthony McHale, 75, of Hawley, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, September 7th, 2012 in Milford, Pennsylvania. |
Bob was born in New York City on December 31st, 1936. Bob was a Vietnam veteran and proudly served 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 1974 with the rank of First Class Petty Officer.
He was an avid reader and passed his time on the submarines reading the classics. After retiring, he was a maintenance mechanic and worked at Calmac for several years.
Bob had many interests and hobbies which included beekeeping, photography, raising rabbits and chickens, ballroom dancing and building projects such as birdhouses and furniture.
He had a zest for life, enjoyed the outdoors and working around his riverside house and property.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert McHale and Susan Gentile, his stepchildren Kevin McKee, Edward McKee, William Winchester, Jennifer DeCarlo and their families; his brother, James, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Frank and Alice (Stegemeyer) McHale, and his siblings Marilyn Landry, Kathryn Brisciana, Frank McHale and Alice Connolly.
Bob was an animal lover and at the family's request, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
