Ruth G. Fisher, age 89, of Northampton Village and formerly of Greentown and Tanglwood, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Phoebe Ministries in Allentown.|
Mrs. Fisher was born June 4, 1923 in Kutztown, PA and was the daughter of the late Ira C.R. and Lena (Snyder) Guldin. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fisher, and two brothers, Ira and Mark Guldin.
She was a homemaker who was an active member of St. Phillips Lutheran Church in Wilmington, DE prior to moving to Greentown and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hawley, where she was active with the women's group, altar guild and music programs.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth Fisher of Schnecksville, PA, Daniel Fisher of Dumfries, VA; grandchildren, Derek, Paige, Sydney and Nathan and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, Dec. 7th from 10 to 11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 405 Church St., Hawley, PA, followed by the funeral service at 11 am, with Rev. Colleen Cox, officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Paupack.
