Thomas J. Hector Sr. Obituary
Thomas J. Hector, Sr., 92, of Beach Lake, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Clara Hunter. The couple married on November 28, 1946.

Born on December 29, 1919 in White Mills, he was the son of the late Willard T. and Mabel Stephens Hector and graduated from Beach Lake High School. A dairy farmer, Tom began helping his father on the farm and later served Berlin Township as supervisor for 40 years. He was well known for his expertise as a grader operator.

Tom was interested in many activities, which included singing, watching western movies, hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He was very interested in politics and received an award for voting in every election for over 50 years. He was a faithful member of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church and hosted a local men's prayer group for many years.

Also surviving are his sons Thomas J. Hector Jr. and wife Missy of Beach Lake and William Hector and wife Brenda of Brooklyn, PA; a daughter Kathy Mohn and husband Raymond of Beach Lake; a daughter-in-law Sharon Hector of Beach Lake; grandchildren Kim Stinnard, Jeff Hiller, Lisa Lopez and husband John, Roger Hector Jr., Desiree Mizwinski and husband Jason, Bill Hector and wife Jo Ann, Jaime Hector and husband Jamie Donovan, Brandon Hector, Erin Mohn and fiancé James Lather, Ryan Miller and Nicole Hector; 11 great grandchildren; his cat Friskie.

He was preceded in death by his sons Roger Hector Sr. and Wayne Hiller and a sister Nellie Rowe.

Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Beach Lake United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
