He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marianne Gormley, parents, William and Catherine Gormley, sister, Therese Gormley Biel, brother, John Allen and sister-in-law, Anne Masterson Gormley. Survived by his beloved wife, Jane Brand Gormley, daughters, Regina Kelly and son-in-law, John Kelly, Janet Keebler and son-in-law, Al Keebler, son Bill Gormley and daughter-in-law Laurie
Gormley, grandchildren, Terri Kelly, Aimilia Jane Gnospelius, James and Angie Kadenas, Christopher and Dan Gormley, great grandchildren, Jonathan Kelly, Aidan and Luke Gnospelius, Christian, Aidan, Jonatham Gormley and Kalin Gormley.
He was a 1949 graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, where he earned a BA in business administration.
Bill was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. navy. He owned and operated Stewart's Root Beer in Paramus, NJ for 20 years.
Bill retired in 1986 from Marshall Realty in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA., where he worked as a real estate broker. He retired to Osprey, FL and late relocated to Tallico Village in Loudon, TN.
He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City, TN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Morris Ave, Summit.
Interment St. Teresa's Cemetery.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bradley-Brough Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ.
