Paul Krombel of Hamlin died Monday at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania following an illness. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Alice Stevens.|
Born in Hamlin, son of the late Antoni and Anna Swartz Krombel, he was a truck driver and then a farmer for Shaffers. Later on he also owned and operated school buses for over 34 years.
Also surviving are daughters Ann Peet and her husband Jerry of Lake Ariel, Paula Peet and her husband Joe of Lake Ariel, Cindy Ronk and her husband Gene of Scranton, Pamela Batzel and friend Dwayne of Lake Ariel, Wendy Belles and her husband John of Shickshinny, PA, and Bonnie Benedict and her husband Thomas of Lake Ariel; sons Keith and his wife Judy of Honesdale, Leonard and his wife Diane of Florida, and Neal and his wife Polly of Lake Ariel; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Timothy and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 am the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
