Herman A. Huber, 90, of Honesdale, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, after an illness.|
Born March 2, 1924 in Narrowsburg, NY, he was the son of the late Herman C. and Doris Haase Huber.
Herman retired from United Airlines, where he worked as a customer service representative for many years.
He is survived by cousins on the Haase and Huber side of his family.
Herman was an avid hunter, having bagged quite a few deer in his lifetime.
One of his greatest passions was going out to eat at night with his friends around the area.
In his younger years, he was one of the owners of Haase Orchards, Inc., the largest apple orchard in Wayne County during the early and mid 1900s.
In accordance to his wishes, following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in the Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
