Sally I. Bullock, 82, a resident of Hawley the past eighteen years, died Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.|
Born December 28, 1931 in Richland, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret Whorley Minnick.
She was raised on a farm and acquired a particular fondness for horses.
Most of her working life she was a seamstress in the local garment industry in the Waymart area. Sally especially enjoyed the companionship of her beloved Chihuahua's. She was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Hawley.
She is survived by two sons, Ron Bullock and wife Trina, Waymart, and David Bullock and wife Melissa, Georgia; three grandsons, Jason Bullock and wife Katie, and Christopher and Robert Bullock, all of Waymart; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Mekhi; a brother, Bob Minnick, Lakeville; a sister, Mary Bock, Pleasant Mount; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Mooney.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday at 11a.m. at the New Covenant Fellowship Church, conducted by Sr. Pastor Robert Nurnberger.
Pastor Jackie Mohrmann will also take part in the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Covenant Fellowship Church, 32 Columbus Ave., Hawley 18428, or the the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Dr., Honesdale 18431
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart.
