Frances Pearce Moyle, of Waymart, died Tuesday morning, October 27, 2009 at the Marian Community Hospital , Carbondale. She was the wife of Elwood Moyle. Born in Carbondale she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Frances Parks Pearce.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Carbondale; She was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII having served as a sergeant in the nursing corp. , assigned to Boca Raton Fl.; prior to the war she worked as a welder for orthington Pumps in New Jersey. She was active in the Boy Scouts , Girl Scouts and the P.T.A. She was a retired nurse's aid and a home maker.
Her great value in family was first and foremost and she loved following her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She was a avid Penn State and Philadelphia Phillies' fan.
Surviving are two sons Graig S. Moyle and his wife Kathi, Waymart; and Douglas S. Moyle and his wife Margaret, Scranton; three daughters Kristin S. Walker and her husband Ray Lake Ariel, Beth L. Delancy and husband Jeff , Hamden Ct., Karey R. Walker and husband James, RD Carbondale . One sister Jane Pearce Brennan and husband Richard , Carbondale ; two sister in laws Ruth Robinson Pearce and Miriam Moyle Purdon both of Carbondale. 17 grandchildren, Matthew S. Moyle , Brad C. Moyle and his wife Jill, Meghan R. , and Cody D. Moyle, Raclyn S., Colin P. , and Sarah E. Walker, Griffin S., Jayme B., and Mitchell G. Delancy; Jordan R. and Lucas J. Walker ; Bridey , Liam S. , Spencer J. , Margaret, and Skyler F. Moyle. Three great grandchildren Eric, Kennedy and Sidney Moyle.
She was also preceded in death by a brother William Pearce and a sister Dorothy Pearce Cerra.
The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
Interment Sandy Bank Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
