Bruce Kermon Jones was called home when he passed away at his residence on Monday Sept. 16, 2013 at 11:53 p.m. at the age of 58 years; after losing his battle with cancer. He was a resident of Ascension Parish, Prairieville, La; he was born on May 12, 1955 in Independence, LA and grew up in the town of Livingston, LA; where he attended Doyle Elementary and High School. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade and enjoyed his work. He loved the country, nature, hunting, and fishing and had a passion for cooking. He was veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by lifelong companion and friend Geri Stephenson; her son Matthew and family; his son Bruce Brandon Jones, his wife and children; his sibling Martha McLin, Sylvia Morin (Jerry), Mary May Fenteus, Carrie Acaldo (Bobby), Gail Smith (Tommy), Katie Jones, Adrian Gary Jones, Norris Jones (Joyce), Rodney Jones, Shelton Jones, Jimmy Jones (Julie); also survived by 23 nieces and nephews; host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Carey Henry and Ella Bea Jones; a sister Robin Jester; 2 brothers-in-law Richard McLin and Dewitt May. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 1, 2013 at 6:30 pm at the Fundamental Baptist Church 24240 Frost Road, Livingston. Thanks to everyone for their love, support and prayers.
