A native of Oakdale and resident of Bradford, Indiana (and former resident of Gonzales), he died at 4:57 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Jewish Hospital from surgical complications. He was 56, a retired police officer, owner of Dat KJun Bar and Grill and Deputy Coroner of Harrison County. Survivors include his wife, Angela (Kent) Kling; daughters, Kristi Hasty and Miranda Manuel; step-daughters, Lorna-Mae Ward and Abbie Brown; son, Chad Kling; step-son, Jack Ward; brother, James Kling; and grandchildren, Kaylee Cheatham, Chelsea Hasty, Georgia Manuel and Elizabeth Brown.
