Lloyd Joseph Thibodeaux, age 81, died at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb.10, 2014 at St. Joseph's Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was a native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Gonzales. He served in the Air Force and later retired from Texaco refinery after a long career. He will be remembered best for the beautiful vegetables and flowers that he grew and shared with countless people. His wife, Thelma Jean Thibodeaux, precedes him in death. He is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Kevin and Denise Schexnayder, Roy and Susan Hodgeson, Thomas and Sandra Griffiths, a son and spouse, Kenneth and Renee Thibodeaux, 10 grandchildren, Blaine Melancon, Jr., Jerik Melancon, Daniel Melancon, Kyle Melancon, Stephanie Jones, Jesse Hodgeson, Cindy Revelle, Markus Revelle, Lauren Griffiths and Chase Thibodeaux, and 14 great grandchildren. A sister, Vivian Cormier and a sister-in-law, Mary Thibodeaux, also survive him. There will be a private memorial for immediate family.
