Mrs. Karen "Kay" Therrell Ellsworth, 57 of Gonzales and formerly of McComb, MS passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation was Tuesday morning at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb from 10 a.m. until funeral services there in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Burial followed in the Hollywood Cemetery in McComb. Dr. Larry LeBlanc officiated. Mrs. Ellsworth was born March 10, 1956 in Laurel, MS. She was the daughter of Gaston Lamar Therrell and Lila Pauline Carty Therrell. Mrs. Ellsworth was the relief postmaster in Brittany. She was an avid Jazzercise and aerobic exerciser. She also enjoyed meeting people and everyone says that she never met a stranger. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a good Friend and was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lila Pauline Carty Therrell. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Morgan Ellsworth of Gonzales; one son, Nicholas Ellsworth of Gonzales; one daughter, Melissa Kay Ellsworth of Natchez, MS; one brother, David Whitehead, and his wife Susan of Cherry Hill Village, CO; two sisters, Tonya Therrell Krone of Monroe, and Gina Therrell Smith and her Husband Paul of Summit, MS. four grandchildren, Jonathan Evans, Christopher Evans, Alexis Guitreau and Tristan Ellsworth; one brother-in-law, Rial Ellsworth and his wife Kathy of Woodstock, GA; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Carruth and her husband Larry of Summit, MS and Dana Stratton & her husband Russ of Hattiesburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be, Nicholas Ellsworth, Paul Smith, Kelly Ott, Jr., David Whitehead, Larry Carruth and Rial Ellsworth.
