Bonnie Arthur

MECHANICSBURG – Bonnie Arthur, 52, of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Monday, March 10, 2014, in Zusman Hospice at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was born January 5, 1962, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Estle LeRoy and Judith Ann (Smith) Allen.

Bonnie was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She was employed at Jefferson Industries and was a member of the F.O.E. Auxiliary 3974. Bonnie enjoyed reading, home and garden projects, shopping, watching horse racing at the county fair and visiting the new casino. She liked playing cards with her friends and family. Bonnie was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Natalie. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a bubbly personality and was always willing to do anything to make certain her family was happy and taken care of. Bonnie is survived by her mother; husband, Steven Arthur; sons, Steven (Megan) Arthur, II of North Lewisburg and Robert Arthur of Mechanicsburg; granddaughter, Natalie Arthur; sisters, Cindy (Tom) Hoffman of Lakeview and Karla (Dave) Korinek of Wilbur, NE; brothers, Estle (Marilyn) Allen, Jr. of Springfield, Mark (Shari) Allen of West Liberty, George Allen of Mechanicsburg; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father and niece, Miranda Adkins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with the Pastor Linden Good officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Vernon Funeral Home, 257 W. Main St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044, to help the family with medical expenses.
