MARION– Jeannine Marie Blevins, 81, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at Genesis Presidential Care Center, Marion.
Jeannine was born on April 17, 1934, in Lakeview, Ohio, a daughter to the late Leon & Frances Houchins and Marie Corwin McGraw. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ron, and two sisters, Ramona and Florebelle.
She is survived by five children, Dale (Linda) Simpkins of Baltimore, Md., Rocky (Paula) Simpkins, and Bob Simpkins, both of Marion, Gary Simpkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Annette (Tim) Hurst of Bucyrus, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; two step-brothers, Carl (Ellen) McNeil of Fountaintown, Ind., and Michael (Florence) McNeil of Clearwater, Fla.; a special niece, Karen Theiss; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeannine was a homemaker and in her younger years took great pleasure in singing in church. She was a very giving person who enjoyed working crafts, and most importantly, being with her family and friends.
Pastor Jeff Willetts will begin funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at SHOFFSTALL FUNERAL HOME North Chapel, 115 N. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation two hours prior to services. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in her name to American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
