Dian Gibson

LEWISTOWN – Dian Kay Gibson, 82, of Lewistown, OH, passed away with family by her side on May 6, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH, due to complications from a heart attack.

She was born on July 30, 1932 in Bellefontaine, OH, to the late Howard H. and Ruth L. Smith. On May 17, 1952, she married Charles F. Gibson and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1962. She is survived by two children, Lynnette K. Hartman of Toledo, OH, and Mark (Cindie) Gibson, of Lewistown, and three grandchildren, Lee Gibson, Adam Hartman and Noah Hartman.

Dian was a 1950 graduate of Washington Twp. High School and attended Ohio Northern University. She owned the former Bulkhead Resort and also worked at the Ark Restaurant, Troutwine's and Tinsley's IGA. Dian also served as Clerk/Treasurer of the Indian Joint Fire District before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, her dog Maggie, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a great supporter of adopting rescue greyhounds and was a sports enthusiast and an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan.

Reverend Jim Ellington will begin funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday May 12, 2015 at Shoffstall Funeral Home North Chapel, 115 North Main Street, Lakeview. Visitation is Monday, May 11th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, OH.
