Dorothy Wallace

BELLEFONTAINE – Dorothy Wallace, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 2014, at Logan Acres.

She was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 11, 1924, to the late George and Opal (Marquis) Harrington. She married Harold O. Wallace on July 30, 1971, in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert, Roland and Francis Harrington.

Dorothy worked as an aide at Mary Rutan Hospital and had been a school bus driver for Bellefontaine City Schools as well as a guide at Ohio Caverns. A crafty person, Dorothy enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of First Christian Church, Bellefontaine.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Howard Edward (Marena) Latimer of West Liberty, William Rusty (Pam) Latimer of Bellefontaine and Terry Lee (Deb) Latimer of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter Marvalene Downing of Bellefontaine; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Her burial will be at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
