WEST LIBERTY – Kenneth Ralston 91, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. He was born Aug. 17, 1922, in New Holland, Ohio, the son of John Wesley and Clara Belle (Posey) Ralston. Mr. Ralston was a Veteran of WWII US Navy. He moved to Bellefontaine in 1945 and worked at the Knowlland Hereford Farm until 1967; he later retired from Western & Southern Insurance Company. Survivors include his daughters Sandra L. Makenson, Karen S. (Mike) Smith and Patricia A. (Tom) Diener; grandchildren Kymberley L. (Rick) Solderholm, Elizabeth J. Dunfee, Peter R. Smith, Patrick W. (Kristi) Chapman, Ryan Smith, Krista (John) Belser, Lori (Jamie) Rowland; several great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred in 1999 and also by brother Donald W. Ralston; grandson Robert Kenneth Hayden. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday at JENNINGS FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 5591 US Rt 68 South, West Liberty, with Pastor Gene Marine officiating.
