Lari Robinson


LAKEVIEW – Lari A. Robinson, 67, of Lakeview, OH, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, November 24, 2014 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, OH.

Lari was born on February 25, 1947, in Peru, IN to the late William Robinson and Betty Egolf Bockoven. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Zane, and Dane Robinson, stepfather, Tom Bockoven, and two brothers-in-law, Steve and John Kessen.

On June 26, 1971, he married the former Kathleen Kessen in Vandalia, OH and she survives along with their five children, Angelica Robinson of Clifton Park, NY, Dawn Robinson of Lakeview, OH, James (Ginger) Robinson of Flatwoods, KY, Teresa (Bryan) Meier of New Albany, OH, Billie (Scott) Littrell of Pickerington, OH, and Lari's daughter, Kelly Warner of Atlanta, GA, nine grandchildren, Kessen, Wake, Koence, Ria, and Hollis Littrell, Isaiah and Keegan Robinson, and Kaitlin and Blake Chapman, a sister, Luci Robinson, in-laws, Ann (Dick) Mueller, Mike (Linda) Kessen, Jim Kessen, Jane (Tom) Feltz, Dennis Kessen, Mary Kessen, Tom (Julie) Kessen, and Nancy (Craig) Gray, best friend and brother-in-life, Jim Sears, numerous nieces and nephews, and the children of his heart, Amanda, Tristan, Aubree, Jenn, Wid, and Eric.

Lari was a 1966 graduate of Tecumseh High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at the Honda Engine Plant in Anna, OH for 17 years, retiring in 2008. He also formerly owned Cassella Tavern and Lari's Tavern. Lari was a member of the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Father Harold W. Kist will begin a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point, OH. Visitation is Friday, November 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
