Peggy Scheiderer


URBANA – Peggy Gaver Scheiderer, 87 of Urbana, passed away, Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in the Good Shepherd Village, Springfield.

She was born Feb. 26, 1926, in the Bellefontaine area, the daughter of Homer Glen and Louise E. (Goldschmidt) Arnold.

Peggy retired from Honeywell Grimes Manufacturing (Midland Ross) after 20 years of service. She was a long time member of Grace Methodist Church, Mutual.

She is survived by her four sons, Mike (Annie) Gaver of Dallas Fort Worth area, Texas, David A. (Diane) Gaver of Springfield, Kenneth (Keran) Gaver of Mechanicsburg, Phillip (Juanita) Gaver of Elizabeth, W.Va.; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Gaver of Burk Burnett, Texas, Dennese (Jason) Brown of Urbana, Maren Gaver of Urbana, Abby (Jimmy) Easton of Bellefontaine, Jason (Lori) Gaver of Springfield, Maegan Gaver of Parkersburg, W.Va., Jeff Gaver of Springfield, Craig (Mandy) Bear of Minnesota and Christi (Brad) Duncan of Austin, Texas; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Carl Gaver, Paris Salyers, and Curtis Scheiderer; as well as her brothers, Harry, Ray and Bill Arnold.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg, with Rev. Charles Rader officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual.
