Ricky Shaw

RUSSELLS POINT – Ricky Allen Shaw, 62, of Russells Point, OH passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home.

Ricky was born on April 18, 1952 in Marysville, OH to the late Paul J. & Gertrude E. Watts Shaw. He married the former Carlene C. Henry-Badorek and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda S. Ward and a brother, Robert Shaw.

He is survived by four children, Christopher A. Shaw, Angelia M. Shaw, Paul-Jason Shaw, and Kevin J. Shaw, all of New Jersey, 11 grandchildren, Corey Shaw, Jimmy Shaw, Jesse Shaw, Kasie Shaw, Anthony Shaw, Matthew Shaw, Harlie McIntosh, Hanna McIntosh, Shawna Dillenschneider-Shaw, Erin Shaw, and Olivia Shaw, six great grandchildren, five siblings, Mary, Donald, Ronnie, Paula, and Timmy.

Ricky was a 1970 graduate of Marysville High School. He was a United States Army veteran of 22 years. During his service, he served three tours in Vietnam as a scout dog handler, and earned his Bronze Star. He also served a tour in the Korean DMZ, and in Germany with the mechanized infantry. He was a member of the Vietnam Dog Handler Association. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, and bread making. He was a very resourceful person and could fix most anything. A Great man who will be truly missed.

Private family services will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
