Thomas Sheeley


BELLEFONTAINE - Thomas Clayton "Tom" Sheeley, 70, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday morning, June 23, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on October 3, 1946 to the late Earl Clayton Sheeley, Jr. and Martha Louise McWade Sheeley Kessler. He was also preceded in death by a brother John Earl Sheeley.

A 1964 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Tom loved to hunt and enjoyed photography. He treasured time spent with the grandchildren and family. Tom retired from Honda of America in 2009 after nearly thirty years where he worked in QED. He was a member of the Bellefontaine Elks Lodge since 1980.

Tom is survived by his wife, Dianna Lynn (Porter) Sheeley, whom he married on February 15, 1979 in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by his sons: Scott (Amy) Sheeley, John (Heather) Sheeley, and Alex (Ashley) Sheeley, all of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren: Jayde Sheeley, Gaige Sheeley, Savannah Sheeley, Tyler (Alyssa) Sheeley, Crew Sheeley, Madisyn Norris, Davis Norris, and Bella Sheeley; 2 great-grandchildren: Grant and Jaksyn; a brother Sam (Sue) Sheeley of Bellefontaine; a sister Sherry Thompson of West Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.

Pastor Scott Miller will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1pm at the EICHHOLTZ DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Bellefontaine, where visitation will be held from 11am-1pm. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
