William Lee Jr.

LAKEVIEW - William Edward "Bill" Lee, Jr., 68, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH.

Bill was born on January 9, 1948, in Columbus, OH to the late William E. Sr. and Katherine Deitlin Lee. On May 16, 1997, he married the former Carolyn A. Rupert and she survives. He is also survived by four children, Michelle (Jim) Lee and Stephanie (Al) Rodriguez, both of Grove City, OH, Eric (Jill) Lee of Galloway, OH, and Casey (Lou) Russo of Upper Arlington, OH, two step-children, Scott (Tracey) Mohler of Lakeview, and Denise Arnold of Lima, OH, 12 grandchildren, Danielle (Zach) West, Hunter Howland, Sarah Shrodes, Brendon Rodriguez, Cecelia Rodriguez, Julianne Lee, Amelia Lee, Nicolas Russo, Bryan Mohler, Bryce Mohler, Sarah Mohler, and Briana Mohler, three great grandchildren, Ava West, Gabriel West, and Alexander Howland, and a step-brother, Jack (Deb) Innis of Lakeview.

Bill was a 1966 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Columbus and a 1970 graduate of The Ohio State University. He was a commercial underwriter for Grange Insurance for over 42 years. Bill was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533 and Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39, both in Lakeview. Bill enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his roses, boating and reading books. He was an avid OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan. Bill also enjoyed watching NASCAR Races especially driver, Carl Edwards.

Fred Albert will conduct a memorial service at 6:00 pm, Thursday July 14, 2016 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview with visitation from 3 -6 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Columbus at a later date.
