Robert H. Jones Obituary
BELFAST/ANGELICA - Robert H. Jones died on March 2, 2014 in Wellsville, N.Y., at age 81. He was born in Angelica, N.Y., to Bertelle L. and Glenna V. Jones, April 12, 1932. A veteran of the Korean War, he was a master machinist and was retired from Rome Cable Corporation of Rome, N.Y.

An Episcopalian, he served as an usher at Zion Episcopal Church, Rome, N.Y., and on the vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Angelica, N.Y. He was also a past assistant Boy Scout leader of Troop 39 in Oriskany, N.Y. He was a member of the Friendship American Legion post.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth M. Jones of Rome, N.Y.; his brother, R. Keith Jones of Colden, N.Y.; and his brother-in-law, Richard Robinson of Cuba, N.Y.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina (Charles) Tardy of Hattiesburg, Miss., and by his son, Russell (Linda) Jones of Wayne, N.J. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Katherine (Darren) Webster of Epping, NSW, Australia, Charles Alexander (Alex) Tardy of Hattiesburg, Miss., Sean Jones and Timothy Jones, both of Wayne, N.J.; and great-granddaughter, Sienna Jane Webster. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Mary) Jones of Friendship, N.Y.; sister, Nancy Robinson of Cuba, N.Y.; and sister-in-law, Irene Jones of Buffalo, N.Y.; and seven nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Angelica, N.Y., on Monday (March 10, 2014) at 11 a.m.
