Ben and Alex,
You, the sun, that broke each dawn, Day upon day since you were born, Those sparkling eyes beamed youthful rays, And brightened e'en the darkest days. You, the west wind, warmth you brought, The chills of life reduced to nought, All frosty moments thawed away With your sweet smiles - you had that way. We miss you more than words can tell, Still deafened by the toll bell's knell. On angel wings you now do fly, Far above yon azure sky. For Ben and Alex With all our love The Bellamy and Salmon families. Ben and Alex were killed by a reckless driver, 21 Feb. 1998

Birchmore, Agnes Wood
BIRCHMORE, Agnes Wood It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Agnes Birchmore on Feb. 22, 2015 at the Campbell River Hospital. Agnes was born on June 18, 1937 in Airdrie, Scotland, the daughter of David and Helen Stevenson. She attended school in Coatbridge, Scotland, and was an active church member and Sunday School teacher. After completing her schooling she travelled to Canada where she spent a year working in an office in Vancouver. Upon returning to Scotland, Agnes took a job with Askey's in Airdrie as a costing clerk. Agnes married Derek Birchmore on Jan. 20, 1959. They had two daughters, Helen and Julie. The family immigrated to Canada in 1967 and undertook the interesting and challenging job of managing the Pine Grove Motel in Campbell River. Agnes loved to read and was a great story teller, bringing smiles to all who knew her. She was a woman with a big heart who will be sadly missed by many. Agnes was predeceased by both parents, her brother Tom, and her youngest daughter, Julie. She is survived by her loving husband Derek, eldest daughter Helen (Jim), grandchildren Derek and Christina (Mike), great-grandchildren Farley and Julie, and numerous friends and extended family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Veerapen for the care and compassion he provided to Agnes throughout her illnesses. At Agnes' request there will be no service, and in lieu of flowers and cards please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
