As a classy and elegant lady, she set an exceptionally high standard for hard work and fair treatment for everyone. And on the other side, she enjoyed family time, to laugh and reminisce. In earlier years, while still living in St. Victor, Saskatchewan, she was an active curler and skip. For 5 years she became President of the struggling Saskatchewan Curling Club. With her time, focus and energy, while working fulltime and raising a family, she inspired and rejuvenated the club to a success. In later years, her and Marcel would make every effort to watch the various curling tournaments on TV, saying now it was easier to watch them do all the hard work, but critiqued them thoroughly, as well. She was of the opinion to give and give, rather than to receive. her giving was experienced by many. Funeral services have been lovingly attended by immediate family only. If so desired, donations can be made in her honour , to the Diabetic Society or the BC children's Hospital, charities she supported on an ongoing basis.
