JOHNSTON, Keith Samuel March 28, 1935 - August 24, 2013 On August 24, 2013 we lost our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Keith is survived by his wife of 58 years. Barbara Johnston (Davis), sons Ken (Tammy), Brian (Nancy), Fred (Sheri) Johnston, daughter Shannon (Brian) Langford. Nine grandchildren: Trevor, Jillian, Spencer, Tanille, Dylan Blake, Kristofer, Jordan and Nicole, sister Kathleen MacDowell, many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Keith was predeceased by his father Lawrence (Lorn), mother Gladys, brother Dean Johnston and sister Donna (Crandon). Keith enjoyed his life filling it with smiles, laughter, music, always ready for a joke, generous with a helping hand for all. Keith worked hard and played hard but always had a smile. Keith was born in Maymont Saskatchewan, coming with his family to live in Duncan, BC in 1937. Married and lived in Chemainus B.C. moving his family to Campbell River, B.C. in 1965. Keith loved to fish, woodworking was his hobby after retirement and camping with his family and friends. Keith was in the Logging Industry (Keith Johnston Ent. Ltd). Convenience Store (Nite Time News) and Owned Lucky Louie Boat Rentals. Keith was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge, C.R. Shrine Club and Go-Kart Section. A member of Chas-Marie Chapter No 76 and Past Guardian of Job's Daughter's. A 46 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3097 and member of Saint Peter's Anglican Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, August 31st, 2013 at Saint Peter's Anglican Church, 228 S. Dogwood St. Campbell River, BC, Tea following at the Masonic Lodge. Flowers gratefully declined in lieu of donations to BC Children's Hospital for Cancer, Vancouver, BC.
