Richard Laurence Attig October 19, 1951 - June 30, 2014 . It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Rick, a husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years Leah, 3 daughters: Tawnie (Matt), Tennille (Dan) and Tammara (Darcy). As well as his 7 grandkids, which were his pride and joy. Brooke, CJ, Austin, Alexis, Arizen, Devon and Brayden. Rick also leaves behind his brothers, sisters and their families. Rick moved his family to the island almost 35 years ago. He worked at the Crofton Mill for 20 years before he retired early in 2009. Since retiring, Rick was living the good life, traveling to Mexico, riding his Harley, also busy doing work around the house, or if you needed to find him you always could at the legion on Saturdays for the meat draw. He has been a member of the legion for 30 years and did not miss many meat draws unless he was away or working. Rick will be taking his last ride on his Harley on Saturday, July 5, 2014 starting at his residence at 12:45 to the Malahat Legion where there will be a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m.. Please bring your happy memories or stories to share. Kids are welcome until 2 pm. Online condolences may be offered at www.hwwallacecbc.com "The best part of any journey is the people we meet along the way." You may be gone but never forgotten. Love Leah-ha-ha and the 3T's.
