Dinitiz, Arthur M.
Dinitiz, Arthur, M. Chairman and CEO, Transpo Industries, Inc. Arthur M. Dinitz, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Westport, CT on Thursday, Au-gust 27, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. Arthur will be remembered as the founder of Transpo Industries, Inc., a leading company focused on transportation safety products and infra-structure preservation materials. An industry pioneer, Arthur was recognized as one of ARTBA's 100 Transportation leaders of the 20th Century and took great pride in the fact that the company he built has helped saved thousands of lives. His quick smile, hardy handshake and bear hugs will be missed by all. He was able to command both respect and emanate warmth to all those he met. The field of transportation safety was the driving force in his life and he cherished the friends he made over the decades of service regardless of affiliation, competition or partnership. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Eleanor, his children Andrew Dinitz and Karen Dinitz and his step-children Wendy Owens and Jeff Fuhrman, his nine grandchildren and many close friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Linda P. Dinitz. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ar-thur's memory can be made to the ARTBA Foundation Transportation Safety Program at 1219 28th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007 www.artba.org/foundation/ .
