Tournear, Allen - Quincy  
QUINCY - Allen Tournear, 72, of Quincy, died at 2:33 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at his home. Born June 29, 1943, in Quincy, Allen was a son of Ralph and Zelma Buskirk Tournear. He had been employed by the Howard Diesel Service Co. in Port Arthur, Texas, for over 35 years, as a heavy-diesel mechanic and shop foreman. Al enjoyed playing his guitar and playing cards. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, a former Blue Devil basketball player, and loved his dogs. Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Buckley (Rod) of Quincy and Kim Hensley (Rick) of Weir, Kan.; four grandchildren, Mindy Buck and Danielle Scrivner (Dustin) both of Kansas, Amanda Klingele (Bryan) and Dalton Buckley both of Quincy; and four great-grandchildren, Raegan Buck, Colton, Dalilah and Gage Scrivner, all of Kansas. Also surviving are two sisters, Mildred Pelas of Louisiana and Norma Motes of Texas; and a special friend, Donna Taute of Quincy. Mr. Tournear was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clifford Tournear and Roy Tournear; and two sisters, Helen Tournear and Dorothy Wells. SERVICES: 2 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler conducting. VISITATION: There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.
