Betty A. Gille, 88, of 901 S. 36th St., died Friday (July 18, 2014) in Blessing Hospital.
She was born June 15, 1926, in Quincy, a daughter of Walter and Blanche Wells Lohmeyer. She first married Earl Jack Hiland, then married Louis Frank Gille. They both preceded her in death.
Betty was a homemaker. She was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.
She is survived by nine children, Ray Hiland, Jackie Hiland, Jerry Gille (stepson), Larry "Fogo" Hiland, Marcia "Gille" Lewis (stepdaughter), Sharon Hiland Howerton, Roger D. Gille, Alan F. Gille and Cheryl A. Gille; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harvey Lohmeyer and Tommy Lohmeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to both husbands, Betty was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings, Walter "Sonny" Lohmeyer, Donald "Bobby" Lohmeyer, Helen Tibbits, Mildred "Mitty" Standbridge-Miller, Virginia Adrian, Alice Simpson and Florence Rosendale.
SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, in Quincy Memorial Park.
VISITATION: There will be no visitation.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
ARRANGEMENTS: Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
