MAYWOOD, Mo. -- David E. LaVingon, 67, of Maywood, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 30, 2012) in his home.
Born April 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., David was a son of Donald A. and Norma Jean Clark LaVingon. He married Kathy Weingartner in Macomb, Ill., in December 1981.
Dave enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing Wii and working on Golden Pond Farm. Dave owned a real estate business in Maywood and did real estate appraisals for the Farm Credit Services in Hannibal for several years. He later worked at Palmyra State Bank and retired as vice president. Mr. LaVingon served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps
during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his mother, Norma, of Maywood; one daughter, Stacy LaVingon-John (Daniel) of Macomb; and three grandchildren, Claire Rittenhouse of Macomb, Marly G. Buyck and Dylan P. Buyck, both of Moline, Ill.
Mr. LaVingon was preceded in death by his father.
SERVICES: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Disseler conducting. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
VISITATION: 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
