Donna L. Kolas

Donna L. Kolas, 70, of Quincy, died at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2014) in Sunset Home.

Born Jan. 21, 1944, in Quincy, Donna was a daughter of Alvin and Virginia Lee Platt Echternkamp.

Donna was a 1962 graduate of Quincy High School. She was a member of Alpha Chapter 109 Order of Eastern Star and had been active with the Rainbow Girls.

Donna was employed for 34 years at Gardner Denver and was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Gardner Denver. She later was a secretary in special education for the Quincy Public Schools.

Survivors include a brother, William F. Echternkamp (Carolyn) of Salt Lake City; a niece, Christine Lea McCulley (Allan) of Salt Lake City; a nephew, William Glen Echternkamp (Shannon) of Salt Lake City; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Lexi McCulley, Sadie McCulley, Mason Echternkamp and Amelia Echternkamp; and a cousin, Dick Cook (Jean Anne) of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Shelly Lea Ippensen.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, with Pastor Clif Weisinger conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

VISITATION: 9 a.m. until time of services Friday in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: Quincy Humane Society.
