HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Dwayne Edward Bockenfeld, 55, of Hannibal, formerly of Quincy, Ill., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2012) at his home.
Dwayne was born March 18, 1957, in Quincy, to Frank E. and Clarise J. Amos Bockenfeld. He was married to Karen C. Swick on Feb. 27, 2010, in Oak Grove, Ky. She survives.
Dwayne worked at the J.M. Huber Co. in Quincy as a mill operator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, fishing, trapping and being outdoors. Dwayne also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He was a Catholic by faith.
Other survivors include three children, Sarah M. Bockenfeld (Jason Davis), Jason E. Bockenfeld (Summer Coulter), and Stefanie M. Bockenfeld, all of Quincy; a brother, David Bockenfeld of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Nita Maddox of Fowler, Ill.; a grandchild, Brady M. Epping; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and an infant grandson, Isaac Bockenfeld.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Burial will be at Paloma (Ill.) Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Quinn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Ronnie Crouch, Brian Maddox, Tony Maddox, Dave Hardy, Tony Bowman, Jimmy Williams and David Bockenfeld.
VISITATION: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Great River Honor Flight in Dwayne's memory in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
