Helen M. "Mae" Hodges, 69, of Quincy, died at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday (June 18, 2014) in Blessing Hospital.
Born June 29, 1944, in Quincy, Mae was a daughter of Jessie Goodwin. She married Terry Hodges on Sept. 24, 1960, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Feb. 11, 1994.
Mae was well known as the owner of G & H Shortstop in Quincy, where she spent much of her time. In her spare time, Mae cherished the time she spent with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Moulder of Quincy; a son, Rodney Wayne Hodges (Dianna) of Quincy; a daughter-in-law, Tena Hodges of Quincy; four grandchildren, Nicole Kelle, Angela Hodges, Mark Hodges Jr. and Terry Hodges; three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Kelle, Allison Kelle and Brayden Griffith; a brother, Thom Davis (Mary Jane) of Morton; two sisters, Marilyn Woodcock (Les) and Kathy Peters both of Galena, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Ray McGraw of LaBelle, Mo.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Kent Goodwin; a son, Mark Alan Hodges; a son-in-law, Dan Moulder; a great-grandchild, Brody Griffith; two brothers, John Davis and Delmar Davis; and a sister, Rebecca McGraw.
SERVICES: 1 p.m. Monday, June 23, in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. today and until time of services Monday in the funeral home.
