Jane Catherine Parrick, 85, of 2130 Harrison, formerly of 3005 Bluff Ridge Drive, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, in the Good Samaritan Home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Quincy, a daughter of Guy E. and Nina Vancil Andrews. She married William Menner in 1949. On Dec. 20, 1971, she married L. Jay "Junie" Parrick in Springfield. He died June 7, 2007.
Jane was a 1946 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been employed as an interior decorator in California and at TRW Accounting Firm in New Jersey. She was a member of The Crossing. In her spare time, Jane enjoyed gardening and decorating.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Menner of Cedar Hill, Mo., James (Janey) Menner of Webster Groves, Mo., and William (Cindy) Menner of Moline; two daughters, Susan (Mark) Phillips of Athens, Ga., and Christine Banta of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Michelle Woosley; a brother, Jim Andrews; and two sisters, Mary Grimmer and Lucille Bonansinga.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Menner conducting. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
VISITATION: 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Cheerful Home, Walter Hammond Daycare Center or Pastor Bill Menner's church, Calvary Chapel, in Rock Island.
