Kathryn Spillers, 81, of Georgia, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
She was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Monmouth. She was raised in Augusta, and she and her husband lived a number of years in Quincy before finally settling in Georgia.
Kathryn was a kind and caring person, always thinking of others before herself. She will be sorely missed by her family and by all who knew her.
Survivors include a son, Todd Glen Spillers; two granddaughters, Natasha F. Rice and Cristy Lee Spillers; a great-granddaughter, Mc-Kenzie Rice; a great-grandson, Tristan Rice; her brother, James B. Washburn; nieces, Cherie Dawn Hall and Tara K. LeBlanc; grandnieces, Kayla E. LeBlanc and Lauren N. Hall; and a grandnephew, Carson J. Hall.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Denny and Loidell Washburn of Augusta and her husband, Clyde Russell Spillers.
SERVICES: Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will be alongside her husband in Marietta (Ga.) National Cemetery.
