Leopold Goldschmidt, 85, of 1734 N. Paulina No. 708, Chicago, died at 3:28 p.m. Friday (Feb. 7, 2014) in St. Vincent's Home.
Leopold was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of Hellmuth and Jeltje Jolles Goldschmidt. He married Patricia Ann Burbach on Jan. 17, 1970, in Chicago. She died Sept. 10, 2002.
He was a graduate of the University of Chicago in 1956. Leopold was in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was the president of LA Goldschmidt Associates in Chicago from 1972-2014.
Leopold is survived by his daughter, Kathryn (Scott) Blois of Austin, Texas; his son, David (Tammara) Goldschmidt of Quincy; and eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Leopold, Mary, Reuben, and Laura Goldschmidt, Siska, Malena, and Tobias Blois.
Along with his wife, Leopold was preceded in death by his parents.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at The Crossing, 150 S. 48th St., with the Rev. Chris LaFever officiating.
VISITATION: There is no visitation.
