KINDERHOOK, Ill. - LeRoy C. Buhre, 94, of the North Adams Home in Mendon, formerly of Kinderhook, and Bradford Villa in Quincy, died at 5:26 p.m. Sunday (March 23, 2014) in North Adams Home.
Born Jan. 26, 1920, in Quincy, LeRoy was the son of Henry C. and Nellie E. Henze Buhre.
LeRoy was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a member of the American Trucking Association. He enjoyed being with his friends, especially meeting his group for breakfast in Ursa. LeRoy will be fondly remembered by his caregivers for his meticulous accounting and organizational skills.
LeRoy was an independent truck driver for many years until his retirement in 1993. He also farmed in the Ursa area.
Survivors include several cousins.
Mr. Buhre was preceded in death by his parents.
SERVICES: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday graveside services will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy by Pastor Steve Disseler.
VISITATION: 10-11:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.
