Linda R. Collins

CANTON, Mo. -- Linda R. Collins, 69, of Canton, died Tuesday (Oct. 29, 2013) in her home in Canton.

She was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of James E. and Vera Boyce McClaughry. She married Robert J. Collins on July 14, 1962, in St. Patrick. He survives.

Linda was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Canton, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary of Canton. Her favorite pastime was being with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Dan Collins and his wife, Julie, and Doug Collins and his wife, Stefanie, both of Canton; one daughter, Gail Stahl, and her husband, Tim, of Maywood; two grandsons, Nathan Stahl of Maywood and Lucien Collins of Canton; four granddaughters, Ashley Collins, Saylor Collins and Hunter Collins, all of Canton, and Kaycie Stahl of Maywood; one brother, Jim McClaughry of Canton; and two nephews and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Wally Freeman.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Monsignor David Cox, the Rev. Basil Euro and the Rev. Boniface Nzabonimpa conducting. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Canton.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary service at 7 p.m., in the Davis Funeral Home, Canton.
