Margaret L. "Margie" Dunn

MOUNT STERLING, Ill. -- Margaret L "Margie" Dunn, 72, of Mount Sterling, died at 4:32 a.m. Sunday (July 14, 2013) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born May 9, 1941, in Quincy, the daughter of Alfred H. and Mary Barbara Salrin Wegs. She married Lyle T. "Doug" Dunn on Oct. 31, 1959, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mount Sterling and he survives.

Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker and also served as an Avon representative for several years.

She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Mount Sterling.

Margie was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mount Sterling. She was also a member of the Mount Sterling American Legion Post No. 374 Auxiliary and served as a precinct committeeman for several years with the Brown County Republican Central Committee.

Margie enjoyed playing cards and antiquing. She truly loved the time spent around the coffee table with her many friends, but the greatest joy in her life were her three granddaughters.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle T. "Doug" Dunn of Mount Sterling; one son Doug Dunn and his wife, Dawn, of Mount Sterling; three granddaughters, Danielle, Meghan and Lauren Dunn, all of Mount Sterling; one brother, James A. Wegs and his wife, Pam, of Georgetown, Ky.; one sister, Jeannie Rucker of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Jill Wegs of Quincy, also survives along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Joseph Eugene Wegs in infancy, Donald E. Wegs and William J. Wegs.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Henseler conducting. Burial will be in the Mount Sterling Catholic Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mount Sterling. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation Tuesday night.
