Mary Louise Archer

Mary Louise Archer, 64, of 1500 Stone Creek Drive, Quincy, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 2014) in her home.

Mary was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Quincy, a daughter of Carroll and Irene Ruby Boudreau Chapman. She married C. E. Archer on Feb. 16, 1967, in Hannibal, Mo.

She graduated from Quincy High School in 1967 and went on to attend Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. After schooling, Mary became a teacher's aide at Washington School until she retired.

Mary was an avid reader. She also liked to do knitting, cross stitching, and scrap booking about her grandchildren.

Mary was a treasure to her family and friends and will be missed.

Along with her husband, Mary is survived by two daughters, Amy King of Ursa, and Amanda (Steve) Veihl of Quincy; four grandchildren, Zach Pasley of Phoenix, Ariz., Kayla Clingingsmith of Quincy, Amber Veihl of Fowler, and Haley Clingingsmith of Quincy; two sisters, Kay Brandt of Lititz, Pa., and Linda Brodkey of San Diego; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

SERVICES: There will be no services. Burial will be Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
