Max A. Bangert

BARRY, Ill. -- Max A. Bangert, 55, of the Barry Community Care Center, formerly of Sycamore Healthcare, Quincy, died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday (April 3, 2014) in Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

He was born Dec. 29, 1958, in Quincy, a son of Leroy and Carol Straite Bangert.

Max was a graduate of Quincy High School. He served in the United States Army. He was employed at Quincy Compressor and later worked construction in Austin, Texas.

Survivors include three children, Josh (Myka) Bangert of Virginia Beach, Va., Billie "B.J." Bangert of Quincy and Brandon (Jessica) Edgar of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Alexis and Amy Bordewick of Quincy, Madison and Joshua Bangert of Virginia Beach and Deacon, Tatum and Liam Edgar of Quincy; a brother, Don (Beth) Bangert, of Ursa; a sister, Rhonda (Stephen) Hinkle, of Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.

Max was preceded in death by his parents.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, with the Rev. Keith Ehresman conducting. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
