Nancy J. Tiemann

LAGRANGE, Mo. -- Nancy J. Tiemann, 77, of LaGrange, died at 8:06 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 11, 2014) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

She was born March 31, 1936, in St. Louis, a daughter of Charles E. and Lola Maps Rich. Her father died in 1945 and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, William Henry Wood. She married Arnold Henry Tiemann on June 30, 1956, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in LaGrange. He survives.

Nancy was a 1954 graduate of LaGrange High School.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and Chapter BO PEO, both of LaGrange.

Nancy had worked at Gardner-Denver in LaGrange and had also worked for Vermont Street United Methodist Church in Quincy as a childcare provider and as a foster grandparent at Highland Elementary. Nancy was also a volunteer at Blessing Hospital in the Tea Room.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold, of LaGrange; two sons, Bruce (Lynn) Tiemann of Marion, Iowa, and Doug (Connie) Tiemann of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Ben (Fabienne) Tiemann, Andrew Tiemann and Rachel (Ryan) Davis; two great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Sophia; a stepsister, Sharon (Danny) Logsdon of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather; a sister, Hazel Siegfried; brothers, Kenneth Rich and Charles Rich; and a stepsister, Betty Ann Rapp.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, with the Rev. Jeff Serafin conducting. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at LaGrange.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. tonight (Monday) in funeral home.

MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
