Neola G. Brown, 91, of Quincy, died Thursday (Nov. 22, 2012) in her home.
She was born March 12, 1921, in Steffenville, Mo., a daughter of Stewart E. and Grace Plunkett Rowsey. She married Thomas H. Brown on Aug. 30, 1948. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown and her husband owned and operated B & R Cleaners for 37 years. She was of the Christian faith. She was a long-time member of the Quincy Business Women's Club and the South Side Boat Club, and she volunteered for senior citizens.
Neola lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Survivors include one daughter, LaDonna Brown Edgecomb of Springfield; two grandchildren, Timothy Edgecomb and Lindsay Edgecomb Atkinson and her husband, Colin, all of Springfield; and three great-grandchildren, Grace, Gage and Carter Atkinson, all of Springfield.
In addition to her husband, Thomas, and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Ralph and Jay Rowsey; and a great-niece, Neola Embree Cramer.
SERVICES: Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
