CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Patsy Neally, 76, of Carthage, died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday (April 23, 2013) in Keokuk (Iowa) Area Hospital.
Patsy was a daughter of Lee and Ruth Mapes Cravens. She was born Feb. 15, 1937, in Ferris. On Sept. 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Frank "Brud" Neally Jr. in the Baptist parsonage in Carthage. He died in 1990.
She was a member of First Christian Church (DOC) in Carthage. Patsy was a loving housewife and mother to her family, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patsy is survived by six children, Stan (Suzy) Neally, John Neally, Mark Neally, Danny Neally and Kim (Ed) McQuigg, all of Carthage, and Lisa Neally of Hamilton; 12 grandchildren, Mitchell, Justin (fiancÃ©, Mackenzie), and Ethan Neally, Josh (Jamie), Jacob, Jared and Olivia Neally, Lisa (Josh) Gosnell, Tyler (Elizabeth) and Tarah Neally, Lindsey (Devon) Bell and Kayla (Patrick) Haigh; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryder, Kelsey, Trenton, Cole, Veda, Hudson, Jamarion, Emery, Eben, Chloee, Colten and Cashten; several half sisters and half brothers including Jim Kirkhart of St. Augustine, Fla., and Delores Akers of Hamilton; and a special aunt, Phyllis (Charles) Vass of Ferris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ruth Cravens; her husband, Frank "Brud" Neally Jr.; a grandson, Evan Neally; and two brothers, Jack and Dick Mapes.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday in the Printy Funeral Home, Carthage. Burial will follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage.
VISITATION: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with family present from 5 to 8 p.m.
MEMORIALS: First Christian Church (DOC) in Carthage, the Southeastern Iowa Renal Dialysis Center or the Hancock County Volunteers for Diabetes.
