Paul Alex Wagner, 41, of Quincy, died at 11:42 a.m. Thursday (April 10, 2014) in his home.
Born Oct. 31, 1972, in Rockford, Paul was a son of Joseph J. and Alberta Vollbracht Spilker Wagner. He married Rosalba "Rosie" Martin on March 18, 2007, in Quincy. She survives.
Paul Alex was a member of The Crossing. He was a 1990 graduate of Quincy High School and attended John Wood Community College. Paul Alex enjoyed fishing; golfing; playing pool; and watching Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone movies, and "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" on television.
Mr. Wagner was operations manager at Sharkey Transportation for 13 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Scott M. Wagner, of Quincy; three brothers John Spilker (Diane) of Springfield, and Jeff Wagner and Larry Wagner, both of Chicago; two sisters, Susie Reis (Stephen) of Quincy and Julie Wagner of Boston; and one aunt, Virginia Spilker, of Quincy. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Lord; and a brother, Ed Spilker.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Dennis conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and before services Wednesday in the funeral home.
