Dwain Steinman Obituary

NEW LONDON, Mo. -- Dwain F. Steinman, 59, of New London died at 6:40 a.m. Monday (Jan. 3, 2011) in Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Mr. Steinman was born June 28, 1951, in Peoria, Ill., to Clarence and Anne Rackers Steinman. He married Roseann Yancey on Sept. 26, 1970, in Quincy, Ill. She survives.

Mr. Steinman worked for over 20 years at Buckhorn in Hannibal. He later retired from Watlow of Hannibal as an account manager.

Dwain enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing, water sports, flying, snow skiing and golfing. He was a member of Holy Family Church.

Other survivors include his parents, Clarence and Anne Steinman of New London; three children, Kyle Steinman (Susanne) of Columbus, Ga., Kris Steinman (Laura) of Hannibal and Kori Locke (Jeff) of Hannibal; his brothers and sisters, Lee Steinman (Cindy) of New London, Kevin Steinman (Lisa) of New London, Keith Steinman (Ty) of New London, Gail Terrill (Tony) of Hannibal and Renee Anderson (Randy) of New London; six grandchildren, Ellie, Katie, Jared and Zach Locke and Brennan and Maddix Steinman; one expected grandchild; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Gene Yancey (Diane) of Durham, Nancey Scott (George) of Jacksonville, Ill., Bob Yancey (Pat) of Hannibal, Kay Lohman (Bill) of Ewing, Mary Luber (Dan) of Highland, Ill., Victor Yancey (Iven) of Highland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeff Steinman; two nephews, Shawn and Josh Steinman; his in-laws, Orville and Virginia Yancey; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Carol Barnard, Marvin Yancey and Ellen Yancey.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church, Hannibal with the Rev. Mike Quinn conducting. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Terrill, Phil Bergman, Dustin Luber, Bob Crowe, Bob Harvey and Don Mana. Honorary pallbearer will be George Geisendorfer.

VISITATION: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Hannibal Knights of Columbus Hall.

MEMORIALS: Holy Family Church for Masses or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Okla., in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

ARRANGEMENTS: The James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Hannibal.

I enjoyed working with Dwain on numerous projects and got to know him well. He had a good head on his shoulders and enjoyed his family and life. Dwain was always quick to help you. God is with him.
