There are no words to say that can ease the pain of loss we all feel when we lose 2 of the most wonderful people I was so blessed to know for many years. Wish I could have seen them more often over the years. We had great times in high school and I can still hear her voice. Bob was a super friendly person- their smiles lit up the room . God bless you all. Love, LianneLeach Moyer

My deepest sympathy to the Bonta family. Bob and Karen were educators from head to toe, and mostly from the heart. Such fun-loving and caring people. A tragic loss to all who knew them.

Karen and I worked in the guidance office together at FMJr. High, which is now the new middle school. I absolutely adored her and we became great friends as well as colleagues. She was a wonderful friend and we shared many laughs. Her apple dumplings were a hit at every potluck, and she spoke of her children often. I am so sorry for their lose and my heart is sick for them. May they find comfort in knowing how proud both Bob and Karen were of them and their grandchildren.

Our hearts are aching for all of you. God has certainly taken two angels from us. I have so many happy memories of both of your parents. Karen always had such a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. We laughed until we hurt so many times. I wish that I could be there to hug each one of you. Know that I am there in thoughts and love. My deepest sympathy.

To the Bonta family, when thinking of your parents I remember playing softball with your Dad when I returned to town after college. Bob was a great pitcher in slow-pitch and a real team player. Your Mom was a real friend and counselor to all. All the family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

When I was a junior at Ft. Madison High School, circa 1982 - I had a career coaching session with my guidance counselor, Karen Bonta. We discovered that I was destined for something in communications - her husband Bob was my guidance counselor and fond of showing those classic "film strips" at Jackson Grade School. I was so fortunate to share a matinee of "Hamilton" with this dynamic couple just last June. These two fine role models will be missed. Love to their family . Rest in peace Karen and Bob Bonta.

Karen and Bob were such wonderful people. I worked with Karen at FMHS when she was a counselor and I was a secretary. I also worked with/for Bob at the Area Education Agency. We attended the same church. They will both be so missed by not only their family and friends, but by the whole community. Our prayers go out to their family.

My deepest condolence to Karen and Bobs family. I went to Culver Stockton with Karen and Bob. Karen and I were Vhi Omega sorority sisters. What a fun, smart, caring person. We were roommates for a semester. Although we hadn't seen each other for a long time, our friendship was still there. May you find peace through friends and family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Karen was a sorority sister at Culver-Stockton Colege. We spent our freshmen year of college in the dorm together before moving to the house. I remember how much they both cared and loved each other. They were truly met to be with each other. A few years ago Bob and I reconnected at SHIIP training in Coralville, Iowa at a training session. We both enjoyed helping people on their journey thru the Medicare maze. Your parents will be remembered by many of the C-S family, Chi Omega sisters and especially the Class of 1968.
